Jure Tomič

Chef Jure Tomič, a renowned chef and sommelier whose name is now known throughout the world, was born in 1981 in Brežice. After completing a study programme of food and nutrition, he completely devoted himself to gastronomy. He gained his experience in a number of small restaurants, and then opened a family restaurant Ošterija Debeluh in Brežice. Before the championship, he said:

Already as a child, I felt a passion for cooking; cooking is exciting:
new products, new styles, new techniques and of course, design and innovation.

Ošterija Debeluh is recognised for some gourmet surpluses with the signature of Chef Jure, who became a constant in the offer. Both, a la carte offer as well as tasting menus where you can choose between 4, 6 or 8 walking menus, are seasonally adapted and depend on the current inspiration of the Chef and fresh seasonal ingredients from the local environment that are available.

Wine cellar

Chef Jure is an exceptional wine consultant; in 2010, he became the Sommelier champion of Slovenia and represented his country at the European championship in Strasbourg.

Ošterija Debeluh offers one of the best wine cards in Slovenia, which offers as many as 350 labels.
